The Bridal Process
STEP 1
Initial Conversation & Consultation
Every bridal journey begins with a conversation to ensure we’re a great fit and your timeline feels comfortable. We’ll discuss your wedding date, gown details, expectations, and any custom elements you’re considering. This consultation allows us to align on vision, availability, and the level of support your gown may require — so you can move forward feeling confident and cared for.
STEP 2
Gown Drop-Off & Timeline Planning
Your gown should ideally arrive in the studio about six months before your wedding day. The latest I can typically begin bridal alterations is four months prior to the wedding, depending on availability. Timelines shorter than four months are considered Rush and will affect scheduling and pricing.
Once your gown is in my care, we’ll map out your fitting schedule to ensure everything progresses calmly and intentionally.
STEP 3
First Fitting: Foundation & Fit
Your first fitting is where the transformation begins. We’ll carefully assess fit, structure, proportion, and style details while creating a clear plan for alterations. This is a focused, one-on-one appointment where foundational pinning and design decisions are made.
Full payment — or a minimum 75% deposit — is required at this appointment to secure dedicated time in the schedule and begin work on your gown.
STEP 4
Personalized Refinement
Most brides will have 2–4 fittings, allowing time for thoughtful adjustments and careful refinement. Each appointment builds on the last, ensuring your gown feels secure, comfortable, and beautifully tailored to you.
Bustling is typically completed at the second-to-last fitting so we can ensure both elegance and functionality for your reception. These fittings are intentional and unrushed, allowing space for detail work and finishing touches.
STEP 5
Ongoing Communication
Clear communication is an important part of the bridal process. If your body changes at any point, letting me know as early as possible helps protect your timeline and final result.
Additional tailoring requested closer to the wedding date — or changes outside the original scope of work — may be priced separately. My goal is to make sure you feel supported, never stressed.
STEP 6
Final Fitting & Gown Completion
Your final fitting typically takes place one month or more before your wedding day. This timing allows everything to feel calm and complete, with room for peace of mind.
At this appointment, we’ll ensure your gown fits beautifully, your bustle is secure, and you feel completely confident walking into your celebration.
